It looks like Obama will be the nominee, and Hillary can go home. Hooray!
Hillary’s mistakes are legion. First was the decision not to divorce Bill after the nation discovered that he had been getting blowjobs in the closet. She was cc’d on the memo, wasn’t she? She would have been a much stronger candidate on her own two legs. It certainly would have made her family values references ring truer.
As for who would be better able lead the nation and to answer the red phone at oh dark hundred, not Hillary. (one could make a case for ‘if she can’t take of her man, how will she take care of the country?, but that would probably be petty and small minded)
She was living under the delusion that the Democratic Party is a group of card carrying, cloned Cylons. The Democratic Party still hasn’t come to terms with the Internet, despite Howard Dean collecting 60+million bucks in a few short weeks, last time around.
However, Obama getting the win is not assured, by any means. McCain is the other player, and even being older than dirt, he is the Republican, and Republicans do have a Party Machine which works quite well.
When the big O moves into the White House, he can make Hillary an ambassador to some place like Monaco or Aruba.
